FIFA U20 Youth World Cup enters Second stage

As the competition gradually winds up, it is important to mention one sensational figure the makes such outing a memorable one. A bird was chosen as the Official Mascot for the FIFA U-20 World Cup Colombia 2011.
The mascot, called

"Bambuco el Guacamayo", was chosen ahead of a selection of others after receiving over 75,000 votes.
It represents the famous Guacamaya Roja species, which is one of South America’s most popular birds. Its feathers, in a different order, show the colours of the Colombian national flag.
The Official Mascot’s friendly smile and sportive gesture reflect the country’s cheerfulness and the tournament’s high profile.
The list of the second stage is now official with Columbia, France, Portugal, Cameroon, Spain, Ecuador, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia,Brazil, Egypt, Argentina and Mexico making the trail haven topped various groups and proudly supported by other best losers like Korea Republic, Costa Rica, England and Guatemala.
Focus is therefore expected to be on three nations including the host Columbia, Spain and Nigeria haven maintained a 100% performance record in the group stage not neglecting surprises from the purported under-dogs.
