Following the announcement by WAEC on 10th of August that O'Level results has been released, candidates with Awaiting Results have till Wednesday, 17th of August toupdate their results.



UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN, UI
SCREENING OF FIRST CHOICE MOST PREFERRED UTME CANDIDATES FOR ADMISSION 
1. The University of Ibadan, Ibadan, hereby requests all candidates who made the University their First Choice Most Preferred Institution in the 2011/2012 UTME and scored 200 and above, to submit the results of their SSCE WAEC/NECO or equivalent certificate ONLINE directly through http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng on or before 18th August, 2011.
2. Candidates who are expecting the release of their ‘O’ level results CANNOTparticipate in the 2011/2012 Admissions Exercise, until such results are released. SSCE (or equivalent) results released after 31 August, 2011 will not be considered for the 2011/2012 Admissions Exercise.
3. Instructions:-
A (i) Candidates are to pay N2,000.00 into U.I Admission Processing Fee Account (See details below) at any of the branches of the banks nationwide:

First Bank of Nigeria Plc, UI branch, Ibadan (Acct. No – 2018156959)
The teller should have SURNAME and initials of the candidate as in the UTME result slip preceeded by the JAMB Registration number, as the payee.
(i) Name and JAMB Registration Number should be quoted in the depositor’s name at the point of payment (in bank). The following format could be adopted:
Jamb reg. no/name or
e.g. JE23145667FE/Ayodeji Aderoyeje O.
(ii) Consequent upon payment of the Processing fee of N2,000.00 at the banks, candidates are expected to submit their Teller numbers online. This should be done by logging-in onhttp://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng with the JAMB Registration number and submission of a valid e-mail address.
(iii) Candidates will receive username and password through their e-mail addresses within 24 hours of submission.
(iv) Candidates are then expected to log-in onto http://www.admissions.ui.edu.ng to submit their biodata and O’level results.
(v) Candidates should ensure that the on-line forms are carefully filled, following ALL necessary instructions, as “mistake(s)” may lead to disqualification.

B (i) Please fill the on-line forms in CAPITAL letters only.
(ii) Multiple submissions may lead to disqualification.
(iii) Bonafide applicants can return to the portal, until 17th August 2011 to edit/complete their previous entries or otherwise review and print their submissions. Please ensure that you click “FINAL SUBMISSION” before printing.
(iv) Kindly use functional E-mail addresses and Telephone numbers to enable the University to reach you in the course of the Admission exercise, whenever the need arises.
(v) Candidates are expected to upload their passport photographs and signature.The image format for the passport and signature is JPEG and must not exceed 20KB.
(vi) All genuine enquiries should be directed to: uiadmin2011@mail.ui.edu.ng
(vii) Schedule:
Names of short listed candidates for the Interactive/Screening Session will be displayed on the University’s Website at a date to be announced later.

4. Candidates should please note that it is only when an ‘O’ level result is deficient for a course of choice, that another deficient result may be presented to compliment the deficient one. Candidates presenting two ‘O’ level results (6 credits at 2 Sittings) should ensure that, the comprehensive details of both results are submitted.
5. The deadline for submission of ‘O’ level results may not be extended. Any candidate whose results are not submitted at the stipulated time may not be considered for admission.
6. Misrepresentation of documents is a serious offence. Candidates are therefore advised to submit genuine documents only. Any one found guilty of this offence will be disqualified automatically and may be handed over to the Law Enforcement Agents.

FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY AKURE, FUTA

COMPUTER-BASED SCREENING EXERCISE FOR UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSIONS
All candidates who made the Federal University of Technology, Akure their  first or/and second choice and obtained a minimum score of 200 in the Unified Tertiary 

Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted  by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in June,  2011 are invited for computer-based screening 
exercise in the University from Wednesday, 17tH August to Friday, 19th August, 2011.   Similarly, candidates who made FUTA their First and Second choice for the 
Direct Entry Admission for the 2011/2012 academic session are invited for a computer-based Pre-Admission screening exercise on Saturday, 20th August, 2011.  
The computer-based screening exercise will hold as scheduled below:

NB: Candidates are to come strictly according to the screening schedule slip obtained automatically from the University website after their registration.  
Registration Procedure
Each candidate is to make a payment of N1,000 (exclusive of e-transact transaction fee) for the registration and electronic screening processes and N1,000 for processing  
and checking of results.  
Candidates can make payments to any bank, provided that such a  bank is on etranzact platform.
Please note that the CANDIDATE’S UTME/DE REGISTRATION NUMBER and the full names should be correctly provided at the point of payment.
After the payment, each candidate should visit the University website (https://www.futa.edu.ng/utme_verification) and complete an online registration form. The completed form which will indicate the exact date and time for the screening exercise should be printed for the candidate’s use. The registration exercise which will
commence on Monday, 1st August, 2011, will now close at 12.00 noon (midday) on Tuesday, 16th August, 2011.
1. All candidates are requested to bring along the following items to the screening venue:
(i) Print out of e-transact receipt (collected from the bank)
(ii) Completed Registration Form (downloaded from the FUTA website)
(iii) JAMB UTME Notification of Results/JAMB slips for Direct Entry candidates.
(iv) A copy of the screening schedule slip obtained automatically after the online registration
2. The Venue of the Screening exercise is the Electronic Test Centre, (ETC) “Obakekere Campus” Federal University of Technology, Akure.
3. Candidates are NOT allowed to bring cell phones or other electronic gadgets to the Screening Venue.
4. Any UTME/DE candidate who fails to present himself/herself for the computer-based screening exercise will NOT be considered for admission.
5. Candidates are requested in their own interest to have a feel (practice) of the computer based test by visiting http://test.jkketc.net

FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY FUT MINNA

POST – UTME SCREENING EXERCISE
This is to inform all candidates who have applied for admission into the Federal University of Technology, Minna for the 2011/2012 academic session that the Post-UTME screening exercise will commence on Monday 15th August, 2011 at the University Main Campus, Gidan-kwano.

Eligibility
Only candidates who selected the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna as their first or second choice University are eligible for this screening exercise.
Candidates expected to register for this screening exercise are those who scored NOT LESS than the indicated minimum for various Schools/Courses/Programmes in the June, 2011 UTME as shown below:

  • Candidates whose UTME score is below the minimum for their chosen course are eligible to register for any other course provided they attain the minimum score for that course.
  • However, all candidates must have the prescribed subject combinations in the UTME required for admission into the proposed course/programme as prescribed in the JAMB brochure.
  • Direct Entry candidates must possess a National Diploma or Higher National Diploma with Lower Credit (minimum) or National Certificate of Education with Merit (minimum) from Federal Government approved Polytechnics/Monotechnics/Colleges of Education. Candidates with GCE ‘A/Level’ or  IJMB ‘A/Level’ must possess  minimum of two  subjects at credit passes or five points respectively.
  • All candidates must possess a minimum of five O/Level credits including Mathematics and English language in WASCE/ NECO/NABTEB at not more than two sittings in subjects relevant to their proposed courses and obtained not earlier than 2007. For list of relevant subjects for each course/programme please click on  “O/level subjects requirement for courses/programmes”
NOTE: Any false declaration could lead to a candidate’s disqualification at any stage of the admission process.

Method of Registration
  • All candidates must either possess a valid e-mail address or create one for the purpose of the online registration for the screening exercise. 
  • Candidates should go to any of the following designated Banks (First Bank Plc., UBA Plc., Union Bank Plc., Oceanic Bank Plc., Bank PHB Plc., Intercontinental Bank Plc., Guarantee Trust Bank Plc., Zenith Bank Plc.) and pay to “FUTMINNA POST – UTME ACCOUNT” through e-Tranzact platform at the cost of ₦1,000.00 (excluding bank charges) only. 
  • The Bank will issue a receipt containing a receipt number and Confirmation order number which will be used by the candidate for the on-line registration. 
  • Candidates are directed to visit the homepage of the University website: www.futminna.edu.ng for details on the procedure for on-line registration, requirements for the screening exercise and other general information.
University website closed for registration at midnight of Saturday 13th August, 2011.

Procedure for Registration
To enable a successful completion of the registration process:

  • A UTME candidate must have selected FUT, Minna as his/her 1st or 2nd choice most preferred University, have attained the minimum UTME score for his/her selected course/programme as indicated above in the table under the heading Eligibility and have obtained a payment receipt with a Confirmation order number 

Note: Candidates are strongly advised to commence registration immediately as the
from any of the designated Banks listed above.
  • A Direct Entry candidate must have selected FUT, Minna as his/her 1st or 2nd choice most preferred University and have obtained a payment receipt with a Confirmation order numberfrom any of the designated Banks listed above 
Online Registration Steps:
  • Return to the Homepage to begin the registration process. 
  • On the left hand corner of the homepage appears a banner with the caption:

If a UTME candidate clicks on any of the first two links above


i. A page appears requiring the candidate to enter his/her UTME JAMB Registration number in the space provided and then click “Submit Querry”
* A display Welcome message with candidate’s names appears on the screen indicating course/programme of choice and subject combination for the screening.
* Below the welcome message are boxes for the candidate to enter e-mail address and gsm number.

* Thereafter “Click on continue to enter payment detail”
* A page showing: On-line Payment procedure appears, and beneath this are boxes for the candidate to enter his/her Receipt No. and Confirmation order No.
* Thereafter click on “Submit to confirm payment”.
* If the Payment is successfully, a statement appears showing: Payment detail successfully completed
* Click on “Proceed for printing”

A Print Page appears showing the following details: Candidate’s biodata, Academic data and Screening schedule data.
If for example a candidate attempt to register for Electrical/Computer Engineering with lower than required UTME score e.g. 208, a display Welcome message with candidate’s names appears on the screen with the following statement:
“Your Jamb score of 208 does not qualify you for your proposed (ELE) course of study. However, you may wish to select any other course/programme from the dropdown provided you have the ‘O’level requirements for the course”.
Beneath the above statement are boxes for the candidate to select a course/programme, enter e-mail address and gsm No.

Requirements for the Screening Exercise

All eligible candidates are required to come on the scheduled date to the Convocation Arena at the University Main Campus at Gidan-kwano along Minna-Bida road with the following:
A clean copy of 2011/2012 – UTME result (UTME candidates only)
Evidence of JAMB registration (IJMB candidates only).
The printed 2011 Post-UTME scheduling slip affixed with a recent coloured passport photograph.
A writing material (biro or pencil).
A simple calculator (non-programmable) without cover.


    • General Information
    • No candidate will be allowed to participate in the screening exercise without complying with the above requirements.
    • The Main Campus at Gidan Kwano along Minna-Bida road is about 20 kms away from the Bosso Campus of the University which is inside Minna town. Candidates without personal vehicles may board commercial buses at the rate of N50 at the Bus Park inside the Bosso Campus of the University.
    • Candidates are not allowed to bring GSM handsets or similar electronic gadgets into the screening hall. Such item(s) will be seized and will not be returned to the owners.
    • Impersonation is a serious offence and anyone caught impersonating will be handed over to the law enforcement agents.
    • Any registered candidate who fails to report for the screening exercise on the date specified on the print-out automatically loses his or her chance of being considered for admission.
    • The screening exercise shall be computer based.
    • Candidates are advised to arrive at the convocation arena at the Main Campus, Gidan Kwano on the scheduled date for the screening exercise at least one hour prior to the scheduled time.
    • Biometric data of the candidates shall be captured before the commencement of the screening exercise.
