This is to calling on all Leaders of small and medium enterprises in Africa to harness this great opportunity to expand their business scope as the prestigious event has extended the closing period for submission of application to 31st August, 2011 due to popular demand.A grand prize of $100,000 has been announced with 5 others winning $50,000 each.
HOW TO APPLY
You are to answer 9 simple questions that immediately determine whether your company meets the basic eligibility criteria. You can then choose to continue with the full application, or to save your details and complete your entry at a later date, or close your application.
ELIGIBILITY
Entry is open to all firms that have sales between US$ 1 million to $15 million; have been profitable for at least two years; are independent (not a subsidiary of a larger organization); have more than 10 employees; and are fully registered in their home country and free of legal actions.

From the Longitude Prize in the 18th century to Alfred Nobel’s laureate awards at the start of the 20th century, the power of prize programmes to catalyse innovation and inspiration is undeniable. Such prizes serve a purpose beyond recognition and reward alone - also raising awareness, creating role models and igniting ambition. From our experience with previous prize programmes within Africa and globally, we have met remarkable entrepreneurs who never lost belief in themselves, even when confronted by overwhelming challenges but persevered to bring their ideas to fruition.
